Nea Odos and Kentriki Odos are the concession companies that executed the construction of the “Ionia Odos”, PATHE and E65 Greek motorways, forming the backbone of Greece’s roadmap. The two companies, strategically investing in digital, partnered with ATCOM to build a new mobile application that transforms the driving experience of thousands of drivers in Greece.
Through the new MyOdos app, users have a full suite of route planning and cost calculation options, and gain access to maps with rest areas and toll stations, as well as useful information related to their routes. Proximity-based push notifications notify drivers with alerts and road safety warnings about severe weather conditions, accidents and issues that may affect their route, while direct access is provided to an SOS Button that dials a 4-digit emergency number. Additionally, the app enables registered users to manage their Fast Pass and Kentriki Pass e-toll transponders’ account and balance.
Netvolution is the middleware that allows communication with the company’s back-end system to retrieve and send route planning information, customer inquiries & e-care services. The app’s infrastructure also integrates additional third parties to support bank transactions for subscribers wishing to top up their transponders, to enable Push Notifications and connection with management and analytics tools.
