Transforming the attica e-shopping experience.
THE CHALLENGE
FASHION-FORWARD EXPERIENCES
The attica department stores have been investing in digital since very early on. Always in sync with their customers’ evolving needs and with an eye for innovation that brings results, the brand needed to update its digital channel and further invest in Business Transformation through technology. Within our long-term partnership, we were asked to help the brand reinvent their e-commerce site visually and technologically, aiming to transform the online shopping experience of its audience. The challenge was to bring the experience attica customers enjoy instore, onto the digital space.
THE STRATEGY
BRINGING OUR VISION TO LIFE
We centred our strategy on establishing an upgraded, modern and effective digital environment to function as a comprehensive product catalogue, a converting e-shop and a hub about all things fashion and beauty. After an extensive UX Analysis, we restructured the website’s architecture of content in a manner that renders navigation effortless and findability of content easy.
To emulate the experience in physical stores, we needed to come up with interesting methods and practises, by using the latest design trends and technologies, predicting all user journeys and suggesting new ways of interacting with the attica brand. Integral part of our strategy was the creation of a seamless logic for all of the product types of the brand’s catalogue, by unifying their layout, inducing the sense of familiarity and ensuring the interface’s consistency – which was also extended, of course, to the systems and infrastructure behind the products.

A modern slider on the homepage, featuring tiles of different ratios to ensure an innovative way to display content.
Typography
Oversized and extended typography as per the latest design trends. The use of scrolling text elements, in an outline format for the most part, adds emphasis on words and phrases, engaging and inviting users.

Try Me Mechanism
Inspired by the instore experience, we introduced the “try me” mechanism, active on specific perfume purchases. Customers receive with their order a sample of the perfume, so that they can try it out before they open the package; and exchange it if they don’t find it within their preferences.
Blog
The updated blog section hosts inspiring content that fuels creativity and love for fashion. Designed from scratch from a different perspective, in terms of the structure, aesthetics, fonts, categories and columns, it is a big “plus” that we think differentiates the brand from competition. All blog-related pages are implemented as AMP (Mobile Accelerated Pages) and, thus precached and instantly loaded through mobile Google searches.

Cards Functionality
Users have the opportunity to issue an e-gift card through the site and use it during checkout. Moreover, it is now possible to redeem points collected through Miles+Bonus, the loyalty programme by AEGEAN. Both of these procedures were only available at the physical store, up until now.

The new atticadps.gr represents the refreshed digital identity of the attica department stores, bringing the experience enjoyed by the brand’s audience within the physical store, on the website. A modern digital space with elegant look and feel that nurtures love for fashion and beauty and reflects the corporate philosophy of the attica department stores. And, finally, an effective online sales channel that redefines the online shopping experience and future-proofs the attica brand.
